Lockdown 3

06 January 2021

Please be assured, we’re continuing to follow Government guidelines to keep our accommodation Covid-secure, and our students and staff safe.

Our doors are still open for those who are permitted to return to face-to-face learning as planned:

Medicine & dentistry, Subjects allied to medicine/health, Veterinary science, Education (initial teacher training), Social work, Courses which require Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Body (PSRB) assessments and or mandatory activity which is scheduled for January and which cannot be rescheduled (your university will notify you if this applies to you).

If this is you, you should be tested twice, or self-isolate for ten days, upon arrival. If you test positive, or if you need to self-isolate, please let your accommodation team know immediately.

The Government has stated that students who do not study the above courses should remain where they are wherever possible and start your term online as facilitated by your university. Please make sure you check with your university regarding their learning offering through this lockdown period.

However, you may return to your accommodation if you don’t have access to appropriate alternative accommodation, facilities, studying space, or you need to return for health reasons.

We understand this is an incredibly frustrating time, especially if you have paid rent, or are due to pay rent, and you’re unable to return to your room.

We’re looking at all we can do to help and we’ll be in contact again by Friday, 8 January with an update.

In the meantime, you can find more information about our booking promise.

Please look after yourself. If you haven’t already, check out our Student Assistance Programme from Endsleigh Insurance, powered by Health Assured.

You have access to a 24/7 counselling helpline as well as self-help courses, legal information services and debt and financial information support. Find out more.
