Student lockdown

28 September 2020

#studentlockdown is trending across social media.

It comes after news of lockdowns in Manchester and Glasgow, restrictions at many other institutions, and talk of not being allowed to go home at Christmas.

We know this is a confusing time, and it might be a bit scary too.

But we want you to know that you’re not alone. Please don’t ever feel you have to struggle in silence.

Free counselling service for Optivo Students

We offer all our students access to a 24/7 counselling support service through Endsleigh Insurance’s Student Assistance Programme, which is run by Health Assured.

You have the option to speak to a BACP accredited Counsellor in one-to-one sessions over the phone or online.

The programme also gives you access to legal information services, debt and financial advice.

To use the service, call 0800 028 3766.

You can also log into the health and wellbeing portal. Please see your e-induction for log-in details.

If you don’t want to speak to someone, you can also access free resources, including self-help programmes and interactive tools via the My Healthy Advantage app (download it for free on your iPhone or Android). See your e-induction for the ID code you’ll need to log into the app.
